Good experience. Before entering to the holding area the waiting just before the gate was abit unorganised. The staff announcement of train service and timing ease the chaotic moment a little. Once in the holding area all are well organised.

It was a great and happy hour day staying at Shangri-La Hotel. Early morning at 4 am we are prepared o check-out heading to KLIA to catch a flight to Kuching, Sarawak for another business meeting. We take a Grab to KL Sentral and from there to the airport via KLIA Express. By Grab it only take us about 30 minute drive to KL Sentral. The KL Sentral's Departure Hall is more than just a train station; it's an official extension of the airport, known as the KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT) . Its main draw is the ability to check in for your flight and check your bags right in the city, leaving you free to travel to the airport hands-free on the KLIA Ekspres. This service allows you to get your boarding pass and drop off your luggage before you even get on the train. Your bags will be automatically transferred to your flight at KLIA . With the Supported Airlines, The service is currently available for Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air passengers . Previously, other airlines like Cathay Pacific and Emirates have also been part of the program, so it's worth checking their websites or the KLIA Ekspres site for the latest updates. This is How It Works: a] You must have a valid KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit ticket to enter the Departure Hall and access the check-in area .b] First, scan your bags at an x-ray baggage scanner . c] Proceed to the airline check-in counter. If you've already checked in online, you can just use the self-service baggage drop kiosks . d] Your bags will be tagged and sent directly to your fligh. For Requirements & Tips: 1) You must check in at least 2 hours before your flight's scheduled departure . 2) Baggage acceptance is subject to the airline's cut-off times, so arriving early is advised . 3) The service is available for flights on the same day as your check-in . 4) There are restrictions on what can be checked in (e.g., no live animals, dangerous goods) and maximum baggage dimensions apply. In general : The KLIA Ekspres Train Service. A) The train is the fastest and most direct link between the city and the airport. B) Journey Time: The non-stop ride takes 28 minutes to KLIA Terminal 1 and 33 minutes to Terminal 2 . C) Schedule: Trains run every 20 minutes from 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM . (Note that services run less frequently after 11:00 PM) . D) Ticket Price: A standard adult one-way ticket is MYR55 . E) Access: You need a valid KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit ticket to enter the check-in area. You can use a QR code (from an online ticket), a contactless debit/credit card, or a Touch 'n Go card at the gate. What I can say is that it's definitely the most seamless option if you're flying with a participating airline and want to travel light. If your airline isn't supported, the KLIA Ekspres still offers the fastest ride to the airport. To Kuching, can you guess are we flying with Malaysia Airlines or Batik Air? Give us your rating please..
